Do you mean Fifa Manager or Football Manager?
Anyways, it would be nice to see Lowestoft in FM12!

Sure he's talking about Football Manager. FM is a common used abbreviation for Football Manager.

Ryman Premier League

Lowestoft Town 3 Lewes FC 1

A fantastic start to the season against fellow favourites for promotion from Newly Relegated Lewes. and by did we do it the hard way going one down through a Greg Crane own goal the Trawlerboys pulled it back through Andy Cave-Brown the poor old greg crane had a match to forget by getting sent off before half time. The lads rallied round with Lubo Guentechev putting us in the lead and new boy Chris Henderson scored on his debut in the last minute.

To help raise funds for the club this season I have pledged £5 for every first team goal Lubo sores thos season, so after 1 game £5 in the kitty could be an expensive season !!!

Full Match Report from the Official Site:

Lowestoft defied the odds to record an excellent 3-1 victory over fancied Lewes but they had to do it the hard way by coming from behind to play the last hour with just 10 men. After Joe Francis had seen an early chance charged down Lowestoft were stunned by conceding a calamitous own goal. There seemed little danger as skipper Greg Crane chased a long forward ball but he lifted his back pass high over keeper Andy Reynolds and into the net to give the visitors the lead.

Despite this set back Lowestoft continued to look the sharper side although Lewes went close with a Dwayne Lee header from a Dominic Sterling cross grazing the crossbar. Lowestoft deservedly drew level in the 27th minute. A cross from the right was headed back across goal by Scott Mitchell for Andrew Cave-Brown to volley into the net.

Lowestoft suffered a further set back on the half hour mark when skipper Greg Crane was given a straight red card for something said to the referee.

Lowestoft re-organised at the break sending on Stuart Ainsley in place of Jamie Forshaw with Scott Mitchell dropping back into defence. Straight from the restart Lowestoft caught the Lewes defence cold with Matt Nolan reaching the byeline and pulling the ball back for Lubo Guentchev to net from close range.

Lowestoft were put under some intense pressure by Lewes as the visitors tried to get back into the game but the solid Trawlerboys defence denied them many clear cut chances. The closest they came to scoring was a Wade Small daisy cutter saved at the base of the post by Andy Reynolds.

With the game deep in added time Lowestoft broke away quickly down the right through Lubo Guentchev who played the ball low across the goal for Chris Henderson to turn in at the far post for a goalscoring debut to seal the Trawlerboys victory.

Lowestoft joint manager Ady Gallagher thought it was a well deserved victory for his side. "It was an excellent team performance and his side showed a lot of character. We knew it was going to be tough and Lewes would be a difficult side to beat but in the end the spirit and quality in the side came out on top. A great start to the season."

Well i go to the Brighton games. They're doing really well. They don't do kick & rush, but more European style of football, which i prefer. Besides of that they just entered a new stadium which is really nice. I tell you, Brighton is going to be the suprise of the championship after they went up last year.

Lowestoft Town 2 (Nolan, Guentchev) AFC Hornchurch 1

A very scrappy and niggley game with Lowestoft making many changes against a very dirty and physical team. Hornchurch had the chance to take the lead after 20 minutes with a penalty but goalkeeper Andy Reynolds pulled off a fine save from the spot kick.
On 64 minutes Lowestoft took the lead with a 25 yard shot by Matt Nolan, Reynolds produced another world class save diving to his eft to caw a ba away heading for the top corner. Hornchurch equalised on 78 mins after a bit of a scramble and the winning goal came via Lubo Guentchev with the last kick of the game in the 5th minute of injury time to send the Lowestoft Players and Trawlerboys into a frenzy of celebrations

Leatherhead 1 Lowestoft Town 2

The Trawlerboys move up to 2nd in the league

Match report from my good friend Terry>

Team; reynolds, cave-brown, gaughran, mitchell, smith, guentchev, fisk, ainsley, henderson (francis 73 mins), frew (forbes 89 mins), nolan (forshaw 84 mins). Subs; forbes, okay, francis, forshaw, godbold

Lowestoft dug out a 2-1 victory with a welcomed 'get out of jail free card' from the ref, after a complacent performance with periods were the players didn't apply themselves fully.

Lowestoft fielded an unchanged line-up from Saturday for a potential banana skin against a struggling Leatherhead side. The fans and team were greeted by a lovely looking pitch with the exception of the goal mouths, which were rather undulating.

Lowestoft tried to apply early pressure in the game but a lack of awareness for who was in space (at times Henderson), led to moves breaking down.
After 15 minutes of an average game Lowestoft were showing a little bit of frustration but just needed to keep their shape and keep plugging away.
A good block tackle on the edge of the area against Henderson, after latching onto and taking down a long kick from reynolds, stopped Lowestoft from gaining an early advantage.
Frew was put in from the back but got no change from the defender and keeper who closed in well and closed down the threat.
It was starting to look like one way traffic and a performance and result that many were probably expecting.
Lowestoft then got the lead, with Nolan receiving a ball from Guentchev on the edge of the box and showed superb skill and determination to go past the defender and reach the line, to square for Guentchev on the line, who bundled it home for 1-0 (26 mins).
Leatherhead were on the back foot now but instead of Lowestoft pressing home their advantage they started to become a little bit sloppy in their passing.
Leatherhead were trying to threaten the Lowestoft goal but most of their efforts fell at the feet of Mitchell, who snuffled everything out and was always looking and making the right and sensible pass out of defence.
Leatherhead were playing a high line and their keeper was having to come out often to clear their lines but it seemed to work, as Lowestoft struggled to get in behind.
Lowestoft ended the half in poor fashion with Reynolds tipping a floating ball onto the bar and then catching it. This was followed by Leatherhead then breaking away but poor attacking play finished with the ball in the side netting.
Just as Lowestoft thought they were going to get in with a 1-0 lead a lovely cross was swung in from the right and was met with a great header past reynolds and into the corner for 1-1 (45 mins).
The half came to a close with the scorching sun being replaced by heavy cloud cover

The second half started with a fairly lengthy spell of disjointed play, with nobody settling and the wind picking up.
There were claims from segments of the crowd when Guentchev went down in the box after exchanging passes with nolan but it wasn't a penalty.
Lowestoft were struggling to apply themselves and get in front again and a piece of poor defending allowed letherhead to put the ball across the box but if not for poor quality by leatherhead, they would have taken the lead.
Lowestoft were now starting to be pushed back a bit and were looking a bit dumbstruck.
Not even a shot and scramble, leading to Guentchev nearly scoring could raise the Lowestoft tempo.
However Lowestoft were then handed a lifeline, with a very poor penalty decision awared to them by the referee. The Leatherhead team and player were very hard done by, as the ball hit the players hard with force from what could have only been a couple of yards.
Some would have thought justice had been served when Guentchev's penalty was then saved but that was short lived, as ainsley slotted home the follow up well to put Lowestoft in front again 2-1 (65 mins)
Lowestoft were now ahead but were still struggling to pick it up. Francis replaced Henderson on 73 mins and helped in Lowestoft trying to force the play but it was a poor game of football and even two late changes for Lowestoft (Forshaw for nolan and Forbes for frew) didn't really change that.
Francis did okay by winning the ball and winning corners to kill time and even though the ref played more added time than indicated, Lowestoft claimed an untidy and lacklustre victory.

The biggest plus was that these type of games last year ended in a draw for Lowestoft but this time we seem to be scrapping the wins and getting the luck which didn't shine on us last year.

This wasn't really a game for man of the match contenders from either side, however Ainsley played well in midfield and Mitchell for me was our best player, with another solid performance at the back and intelligent passing when coming out with the ball.

Bury Ladies 1 Lowestoft Ladies 4

A great away win in our first league game since re forming. Went one nil down before half time , but the football club Chairman tells me in the first half we had 80% of the play and if it was a boxing match it would have been stopped !! A great 2nd half with the girls scoring 4 to go back home with 3 points in the bag

And before you ask 343 no pics yet !!

Lowestoft 1 Harrow 2

Not a good night for the Trawlerboys. Left star man Lubo on the bench and bought him on to try and save the game with 10 mins to go. We went 1-0 up through Micheal frew then Saturdays hero Stu Ainsley missed a penalty. Still we have a break from the league now as we are starting our FA Cup campaign away to Heybridge Swifts on Saturday
