As this was our first season playing this level of football, I think most Trawlerboys would have been happy for us to consolidate ourselves in the Rymans Premier League and push on next season. However as the season Started it looked like we could be very good champion contenders then we hit a bit of bad form and we looked certain to be involved in the play offs at the end of the season. Now it is getting all very tight with teams below us nearing our points tally so it is going to be squeaky bum time till the end of the season.
However we still Believe and i am sure we will clinch a play off place

If Lowestoft Town finishes top 5 they are able to play play-offs? Is your competition regional or national? And if you win the play-offs, in which league will you play?

Yes Rinus if we finish 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th we make the play offs. At the moment it is still regional but most teams are about 70+ miles from us due to our easterly location.
If we do gain promotion we will play in the blue square North or South
|

Today we drew 0-0 with Tooting & Mitcham not good but I picked my new flag up ready for Amsterdam in 2 weeks time

Is there someone from this board who will welcome you or something? did you arrange something with an Ajax supporter ?
Blue Square? that would be great. In the past i betted sometimes on games from the Blue Square, haha.

Monday 28th March
Massive 3 points for the Trawlerboys last night.
Aveley 0 Lowestoft 3
Michael Frew and Scott Mitchell got the Goals in the first 18 Minutes last night. Michael Frew missed out on the chance of a Hat Trick when he missed a second half penalty.
Big game on Saturday as we are home to Tonbridge Angles who are one place behind us in the standings on equal points but they have a game in hand. We drew at Tonbridge 3-3 earlier in the season after being 3-0 down.

More Frustration
Lowestoft 0 Tonbridge 0
We hit the bar twice, Tonbridge hit the bar once and their keeper made 3 excellent saves.
You need goals to win matches though.
we are now down to 4th and 5 games left our 2 home games are against clubs in the play off region and our 3 away games are against teams in the lower half of the table.
Maybe our luck will change with the Football Club Chairman and Supporters Club Chairman in Amsterdam next weekend !!!

Croydon Athletic 0 Lowestoft Town 2
the victory was spoilt by the nes that Michael Frew had broken his ankle after falling awkwardly on it. Goals from Adrian Forbes and new signing Lubo Guntechov ensured the Trawlerboys came home with the points.

The Trawlerboys slipped out of a play of place last night when Tonbridge won their game in hand away to Hendon. all equal on games now and we are one point behind

Margate 0 Lowestoft Town 3
well worth the long 5 hour coach trip from Lowestoft in the blistering heat. I dedicated the game as a funny hat day so all the travelling Trawlerboys wore a funny hat which made it a bit of a carnival atmosphere.
A bit of a scrappy game but going 3-0 up before half time the job was done early on.
Goals by Jamie Forshaw (2) and Matty Nolan
The second half was played at a slower pace Margate not having to force our keeper to make one save though Scott Mitchell and Russel Stock both hit the bar for the Trawlerboys
The day was made even better by all our play off rivals losing.
Two games to go Bury our local Rivals tomorrow and then Folkestone away next Saturday

But we are still in a play off position with one game to go on saturday, Folkestone Invicta (Away) easy equation now we have to win !!!!
